Balquire was born from ten years of work at Balik Singular Design — a studio founded in 2015 with a single conviction: that furniture made by hand, from natural materials, belongs in the spaces that matter most.

For a decade, Balik built a reputation in the world of residential and retail design. Along the way, something became clear — the most interesting briefs were coming from a different kind of client. Architects specifying for a boutique hotel in the Greek islands. A restaurateur in Madrid who needed fifty chairs that didn't exist in any catalogue. A resort developer who wanted the furniture to feel like it grew from the landscape.

 

Balquire is our answer to that client. A contract atelier focused entirely on hospitality and professional interiors — where every piece is made to order, every project is treated as singular, and the workshop in Indonesia that has always been at the heart of what we do remains exactly that: the heart.
