Balquire was born from ten years of work at Balik Singular Design — a studio founded in 2015 with a single conviction: that furniture made by hand, from natural materials, belongs in the spaces that matter most.

For a decade, Balik built a reputation in the world of residential and retail design. Along the way, something became clear — the most interesting briefs were coming from a different kind of client. Architects specifying for a boutique hotel in the Greek islands. A restaurateur in Madrid who needed fifty chairs that didn't exist in any catalogue. A resort developer who wanted the furniture to feel like it grew from the landscape.

 

Balquire is our answer to that client. A contract atelier focused entirely on hospitality and professional interiors — where every piece is made to order, every project is treated as singular, and the workshop that has always been at the heart of what we do remains exactly that: the heart.
